Harper Beckham’s ‘exciting’ future: David Beckham shares inspirational message about his daughter
David shares four kids with his wife Victoria Beckham
David Beckham wishes his daughter, Harper Beckham, a bright future. The soccer star revealed that he is a proud dad of “three boys and one beautiful girl,” declaring that he wants his kids to have the same opportunities during his recent inspirational speech at the World Economic Forum in Switzerland on Monday.
“I want my daughter Harper to have the same opportunities as her brothers and that should be the case for all girls everywhere,” the athlete said at the ceremony, as shared by U.K. publication Sky News. Today, there are more children in need and at risk than at any time in recent history and it is always the most vulnerable children who face the biggest challenges — especially girls.”
David shares four kids with his wife Victoria Beckham, 25-year-old Brooklyn, 22-year-old Romeo, and 19-year-old Cruz. “I’m lucky enough to be a father of three boys and one beautiful girl. I want Harper to grow up in a world where being a girl doesn’t determine what you can do, where you can go, or who you can become,” he declared.
While delivering his speech, David stated that “girls need more than words,” calling for more “opportunities, collective action, and investment.” The soccer star was presented with the Crystal Award for his impact and humanitarianism during the ceremony, where he also said he hopes to be “the voice of children” at the World Economic Forum.
David is known to spend quality time with his kids, most recently with Harper during one of their fun outings in Miami. The father-daughter duo enjoyed a basketball game where they also met some famous faces. “Fun night at the Heat last night,” David wrote on Instagram. “I’m not sure if Harper was more excited to see [Jimmy Butler] or [Central Cee],” he added, sharing a photo with the rapper.
