Tyson Fury Delivers His Honest Daniel Dubois vs Joseph Parker Prediction: “I’ve Got To”
Tyson Fury has shared his prediction for the upcoming heavyweight showdown between Daniel Dubois and Joseph Parker.
Dubois is set to make the second defence of his IBF heavyweight title against Parker on February 22 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The 27-year-old made the first defence of his crown in September when he knocked out Anthony Joshua in the fifth round at Wembley Stadium.
It will be an opportunity for Parker to become a two-time world heavyweight champion, having held the WBO title between 2016 and 2018. He was dethroned by Joshua in a unification contest, losing out on the chance to capture the WBA and IBF titles from ‘AJ’.
Fury gave a certain choice on the winner between Dubois and Parker whilst speaking to TNT Sports, with ‘The Gypsy King’ quick to give his backing to the New Zealander, who has spent a lot of time with Fury in training camps.
“I’ve got to go with my old pal, Joseph Parker.”

In a shock announcement at the beginning of 2024, Fury announced his retirement from boxing. The decision came just weeks after he was defeated by Oleksandr Usyk in their huge rematch on December 21.
The 36-year-old lost to the Ukrainian superstar in their undisputed heavyweight championship contest last May, which was the first defeat of Fury’s storied professional career. He surrendered his WBC heavyweight title to Usyk, who kept a hold of his WBA, WBO and IBF titles.
Usyk secured a second consecutive victory over his heavyweight rival in December, getting the nod from all three judges to be declared the winner via unanimous decision, with Dubois himself quick to jump in the ring and throw down the gauntlet to Usyk.
Before announcing his retirement, Fury was linked with an all-British showdown against Joshua, although the fight now appears to be ‘dead in the water’ with ‘AJ’ now on the hunt for a new opponent.
