This 1960 Cadillac Series 62 coupe was refinished in black over black and white leather upholstery in 2024. The car is powered by a 390ci V8 linked with a four-speed Hydra-Matic automatic transmission that is said to have been rebuilt. Equipment includes power steering, power-assisted brakes, 15″ chrome wire wheels, Autronic Eye headlight control, a power-adjustable front seat, power windows, and air conditioning. This Series 62 was acquired by the seller in 2023 and is now offered on dealer consignment in South Carolina with a clean Florida title.
The car was finished from the factory in Olympic White (12) and has been refinished in black with a white roof. The bumpers were re-chromed and the brightwork was refinished. Imperfections on the brightwork are shown in the gallery below. Exterior details include quad headlights, a driver-side mirror, and tail fins with integrated taillights as well as chrome bumpers, window surrounds, and trim.
The 15″ chrome wire wheels are mounted with whitewall tires measuring 225/75. Power steering was standard, and braking is provided by power-assisted drums at each corner.
The cabin houses bench seating that was reupholstered in black and white during the refurbishment along with color-coordinated door panels. The black carpeting was also replaced. Interior equipment includes a power-adjustable front seat, an Autronic Eye automatic headlight dimmer, power windows, an AM radio, and air conditioning. The clock and the power antenna do not work.
The two-spoke steering wheel fronts a horizontal 120-mph speedometer and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 61k miles, approximately 50 of which were added under current ownership.
The 390ci V8 was factory equipped with a four-barrel carburetor and was rated at 325 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque when new. The oil was changed in preparation for the sale.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed Hydra-Matic automatic transmission, and the selling dealer tells us that the transmission was rebuilt in 2024.
